Lutie Anne Presley creates high quality 1:12 scale miniature copies of rustic furniture. The furniture is finished with paint colours similar to what was available from the 1820’s up to approx. 1900, and the paint has wear patterns created by extended use.
Lutie Anne has always been fascinated by tiny things. As a young girl, she was very jealous of a neighbour girl’s wooden dollhouse, which featured electric lights, and furniture with working parts. Her own tin dollhouse was the only “girly” toy she possessed. She still has her Grandmother’s collection of miniatures. In her 20’s, Lutie Anne designed a dollhouse layout and had it built. After finishing the interior and exterior of the house, she started building miniature furniture. Unfortunately her miniature hobby had to be set aside for a number of years as she focused on making a living.
Now mostly retired, Lutie Anne has returned to miniatures. She creates copies of rustic furniture, which she also handled in full size through her Antique business. For reference, she uses books on rustic furniture, as well as items in her own home, or which friends own.
Lutie Anne resides in Lindsay, Ontario, and is ably assisted by several very helpful cats!
